回台灣時, 在食品材料店買了一個專做日式煎蛋(Tamago)的鍋子. 這個鍋子在灣區的Mitsuwa超市也有賣, 只不過, 我嫌貴, 所以回台灣尋寶, 找找便宜的替代品. 台灣大創有賣, 不過店內已沒有貨了. Cupertino新開的大創, 我看到有賣喔, 不過鍋子很薄, 壽命可能不長. 不過我應該也不是三天兩頭做日式煎蛋, 也許花個美金一塊半, 應該就能符合我的需求吧?

前一陣子做了輕乳酪蛋糕給同事吃, 同事很喜歡那口感, 請我再做一個給她. 她老公吃了之後, 讚不絕口(米其林內心的獨白: 真有那麼好吃嗎? ), 聽說剩下的兩片被家裡其他人吃光了, 心裡很悵然! (米其林: 這是我聽到第二個人告訴我, 發現蛋糕被吃掉時那種扼腕的心情.  ), 後來跟我訂了兩個蛋糕, 讓她當伴手禮, 帶去朋友家拜年. 
鮮奶油蛋糕: 中間夾層布丁餡和水果(cocktail fruit).

做輕乳酪蛋糕時, 多出來的蛋糊放入在台灣LC店買的心型烤模. 因為烤模小, 與另外八吋的模子相比, 如果烤溫太高, 蛋糕就會變成火山爆發. 這樣子剛好讓我當成過年用的發糕, 有趣吧?

今天在甜心大飯店的網站上看到, Milpitas 的鹿港小鎮要關門, 或是搬遷, 目前還沒定案, 聽說營業到這星期六, 1/31, 下午五點. 要吃的人快喲.  

另外, 如果有人還不知這個好康的, 記得點菜時, 報上"美式作風" or "美美網站", 店家就會招待每人一杯飲料喔.

剛來美國, 先去吃的第一家越南餐廳是 Pho Hoa. 客人很多, 但是好不好吃, 當時的我也無從比較. 食物都是經過比較之後, 才能分出高下. 後來, 陸續吃過其他餐廳, 有一些不再去的餐廳, 是因為放了讓我聞之色變的味精, 因而變成拒絕往來戶. 經過時間的洗禮和舌頭的歷練, Pho Nam是我和家人目前比較喜歡的一家. 有時候實在想不出要吃什麼, 又不想花大錢的時候, Pho Nam變成兩個人最不會有爭議的餐廳.
